1. With the development of plasma cutting, the available working gas has an obvious influence on the cutting characteristics, cutting quality and cutting speed of plasma arc. The commonly used plasma arc working gases are argon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, air, water vapor and some mixed gases.

Laser cutting is to use a high-power density laser beam to scan the surface of the material, heat the material to thousands to tens of thousands of degrees Celsius in a very short time, so that the material can be melted or gasified, and then blow the melted or gasified material away from the cutting seam with high-pressure gas, so as to achieve the purpose of cutting the material. Laser cutting, because the invisible beam is used instead of the traditional mechanical knife, the mechanical part of the laser cutter head is not in contact with the work, and will not scratch the working surface in the work; laser cutting speed is fast, the incision is smooth and flat, generally no follow-up processing is required; the cutting thermal impact area is small, the plate deformation is small, the cutting seam is narrow (0.1mm ~ 0.3mm); the incision has no mechanical stress, no shear burr; High precision, good repeatability, no damage to the surface of the material; NC programming, can process any plan, can cut the whole board with large format, no need to open the mold, economic and time-saving.
General introduction: in terms of cutting accuracy, plasma can reach within 1mm, laser can reach within 0.2mm; in terms of cost, plasma cutting machine is much cheaper than laser cutting machine, in terms of processing accuracy, plasma cutting is a rough machining and a fine machining compared with laser cutting!
